Comparisons that admit what we are not.
Sourced, dated comparisons of UK campsite and holiday park booking software. Every claim about another supplier comes from their own public pages and is linked, and every comparison names the situations where they are the better choice than Keydesk.
A vendor wrote these. Here is how to read them anyway.
Most “alternatives” pages are marketing with a table bolted on. These follow four rules so you can check the working rather than take our word for it.
- Every claim is linked
- If we say a competitor does or does not do something, the statement comes from their own public page and that page is linked. No review-site scores, no hearsay.
- Every claim is dated
- Products change. Each comparison carries the date its sources were read and the date of the next scheduled review, so you can judge how stale it is.
- We publish the rows we lose
- These are fit guides, not leaderboards. Where a competitor is the better answer for your site, the page says so plainly rather than burying it.
- No roadmap points
- Nothing scores for being planned, ours included. If a workflow is not live and demonstrable, treat it as unavailable when you are choosing.
Comparisons help. Your own requirements decide.
No comparison page knows your site. Write down the jobs your season actually depends on before you watch a single demo, then make every supplier complete the same ones in front of you.
- Which tier do my requirements actually need?
- What is the all-in first-year cost, including setup?
- Which named integrations are live today?
- What is charged per booking or per user?
- What can I export if I leave, and at what cost?
Comparison FAQ
Are these comparisons impartial?
No, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. They are written and published by Keydesk, which sells one of the products being compared. We handle that conflict by sourcing every competitor claim to their own public pages with a date, by stating plainly where Keydesk is the weaker choice, and by never asserting a competitor gap we cannot link to.
How current is the information?
Each comparison shows the date its sources were read and the date of its next scheduled review. Suppliers change their products and pricing without telling us, so treat anything past its review date with care, and tell us if you spot something out of date.
Why do the comparisons admit Keydesk is worse at things?
Because it is true, and because a comparison that always flatters the publisher is worthless to a buyer. Keydesk is a newer, narrower product. On channel distribution breadth, installed base and several other measures, established suppliers are ahead today. Knowing that before you buy is more useful than discovering it in month three.
Which supplier should I choose?
The one that completes your required jobs today. Give every supplier on your shortlist the same real tasks: build your actual inventory, price a difficult stay, take and amend a booking, collect a deposit, demonstrate every integration you need live, and export your own data. Then price the same scope in writing from each.
Which comparison is coming next?
ParcVu and Elite Dynamics are the most likely, since both currently gate pricing behind a sales conversation and that is worth documenting. We publish a comparison only once we have read enough of a supplier’s public material to source it properly, so there is no schedule to promise.
